Quick setup of additional devices

You can skip verifying your identity when you set up the app on additional devices. Instead, get a QR code from the app that's already set up. Then, scan it with your new device to complete setup.

If you do not want to do this, or if this does not work for you, you can verify your identity by video or in person.

What you need

1. Your existing mobile device with the app already set up.

2. Your new mobile device that you want to set up the app on. It can be a different type of mobile device.

How it works

First, on your new device

Open the BC Services Card app.


Choose "Transfer From Another Device".


Follow the instructions to complete Step 1.

Then, on your existing device

Choose "Account" from the bottom menu.


Choose "Transfer to another device".


You will get a QR code. You do not need to save this. This QR code will change every time you set up a mobile device.

Then, use your new device to scan the QR code on your existing device

Remove the app on your existing device if you no longer need it, or if you're giving it to another person.
